Kenya Minority & Marginalised Communities GIS Mapping Platform
A geospatial platform designed to map minority and marginalized communities across Kenya.

Overview
This platform provides an interactive map that allows administrators and researchers to identify, analyze, and document minority communities across different regions of Kenya. Built as a demonstration system, it showcases core mapping, filtering, and data visualization capabilities for community identification and regional analysis.
Problem
Many minority and marginalized communities are poorly documented and difficult to locate geographically. Government and advocacy organizations lack centralized data tools to visualize spatial distribution, analyze regional patterns, and support data-driven decision-making for community development initiatives.
Solution
I built a GIS-based platform that enables community mapping with interactive maps, robust data storage, and advanced search functionality. The system allows administrators to import large datasets, filter by geographic regions, and maintain rich community profiles—all with role-based access for security.
